Course Description

This double degree option is a unique four-year program that combines the Business Information Systems Degree with a Commerce Degree. Students master information systems concepts and skills, and can also complete a major in a commerce discipline such as accounting or marketing.


Aims & Objectives

  • To provide students with a complete study of business practices leading to a choice of generalist or specialist career in the utilisation of information technology to solve business problems.

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of an appropriate Victorian Year 12 or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification.

VCE Prerequisites: Units 3 & 4 - a study score of at least 20 in English (any). Passes may be accumulated over more than one year.

Applicants who do have a Year 12 qualification or who have a non-competitive Year 12 score and no other tertiary study, and have at least five years related work experience, may be considered for admission if they can demonstrate motivation and ability to succeed.


Program Structure

Students take a total of thirty-two subjects (or equivalent) over four years full-time plus one year optional Industry-Based Learning. Entry is possible in both Semester 1 (Feb) and Semester 2 (July).

All students will undertake an Industry Linked Final Year Project.
