Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology

I first heard about Swinburne at an education event in India. I was interested in a degree that would give me strong credit exemption for my Indian IT Diploma, also I wanted to attend a University that would deliver a modern IT degree with global application.

The Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology has been a fantastic learning experience providing studies in my key interest areas of .NET, XML and C#. I have had freedom of choice to choose from a wide range of electives and been able to complete my course within a 2 year period. I aim to further my career in the area of Network Security.

Tilina Chamika Diyagama

Tilina Chamika Diyagama
Bachelor of Science (Information Technology)

I heard through friends in Sri Lanka that Swinburne University had contemporary, industry focused IT courses. I had completed 2 years of Study in bachelor studies at Sri Lanka Institute of IT, applied and was successful in being accepted to complete my final year at Swinburne in the Bachelor of Science (Information Technology).

I have found the course not only to be challenging but enjoyable, in particular I have really enjoyed my studies in analysis, modelling and design techniques used in solving practical classroom exercises. The computer late labs have been great to use for my evening computer studies and I have improved my study skills through the Student Services academic support services.

At Swinburne I have made strong friendships through the international student group Swin Lanka which organise activities that all students can participate in.

I recommend ICT studies at Swinburne University to future students.
